Booking and Payment
Full payment of the total booking amount is required no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled class date. A booking shall only be deemed confirmed once full payment has been received and cleared in the designated account.
Delivery of Services
Pastry Collective offers in person pastry classes and workshops. No physical goods are shipped.
Classes are usually held at our studio in Randburg, Johannesburg, but some are held at other venues. The venue for each class is shown on the class page and on the booking page before payment. It is also confirmed in the booking confirmation email and on the invoice.
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and cleared, in line with the Payment clause above. The confirmation email is sent to the address given at booking and includes the class date, time and venue.
If Pastry Collective has to change the venue of a booked class, the client will be told in writing before the class. If the new venue is not suitable, the client may ask to transfer to another date or receive a full refund.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation by the client, the following shall apply:
- Cancellations made seven (7) days or more prior to the scheduled class date shall qualify for a full refund of the total amount paid.
- Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled class date shall qualify, at the client's choice, for a 50% refund of the total amount paid or a transfer to another date at no charge, subject to availability.
- No cancellation penalty applies where the client cannot attend because of the death or hospitalisation of the person the booking was made for. A full refund will be given.
Refunds and Disputes
Refunds are paid back to the original payment method within seven (7) working days of the cancellation being received. A card refund can take a few more days to show, depending on the client's bank.
If something has gone wrong with a booking, please contact Pastry Collective first at nicolaas@pastrycollective.co.za so it can be put right.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend the class, in whole or in part, without prior written notice shall be treated as a no-show and no refund shall be issued, except where the Cancellation Policy above provides for death or hospitalisation.
Transfer of Booking
A confirmed booking may be transferred to another individual, provided that written notice is given at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled class date. Pastry Collective reserves the right to approve such transfer.
Amendments and Cancellations by Pastry Collective
Pastry Collective reserves the right to amend, postpone, or cancel any class due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to insufficient bookings, operational requirements, or force majeure events. In such instances, clients shall be offered an alternative date or a full refund, at the sole discretion of Pastry Collective.
General
By proceeding with payment, the client acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
